(AUDIO) JUSTIN MOORE WAS MORE FOCUSED ON HAVING A POSITIVE IMPACT THAN A HIT

Justin Moore’s top five song, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” is a very emotional song, so does he have to get into a certain headspace to write a song like that? He says, “I don’t think it’s a conscious decision that, ‘Hey we gotta go here in our minds to do this.’ But I think as you are writing a song like that, I think you go there. But I think it’s more subconscious and a little more melancholy.”

Even if this song did require Justin to get into a more somber headspace every night when he performed it, Justin says, “I’m really, really proud of that song. I’ve said this a number of times. I hope it’s a hit. I think it’s a hit. It feels good to me, and that’s great, but to have a song like that, that can have a positive impact on people’s life, is even more special.”

Based on the fact that “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” is continuing to climb toward number one, it’s safe to say this song has had a positive impact on a lot of people, and is also a hit.
