Long before a lot of country stars were famous, they spent time at country music festivals enjoying the vibes and the music, but Brett Young, who is currently crisscrossing the country playing a lot of different festivals, says, “Unfortunately for me being a huge music fan, I also played three sports in Southern California where the weather’s always good. So there was literally no time off. If you weren’t in season with one of the sports, all three of them had a summer league going. It’s the same reason I never had a spring break, I never had a summer break… And so I had no idea what to expect from festivals until I started playing them myself.”
Now that Brett has had the opportunity to soak up the summer music festival vibes from the artist’s perspective, he would love to attend at least one as a fan. “ow I’m kind of itching for a weekend off in the summer to grab Taylor and go out and have a festival of our own,” says Brett. “But no, I never got to do it. It’s kind of one thing I wish I would have had the opportunity to experience.”
The only problem Brett, who is currently climbing the charts with his song “Catch”, might have is that he is 6’6” and doesn’t exactly blend into a crowd, so he might have to attend his first music festival as a fan incognito.

So my first ever concert even that I ever went to was in 1995, I went to Boyz II Men and Montell Jordan,. And that was 10 minutes from home where I grew up, and that was just one show. And so I had no idea what to expect from festivals until I started playing them myself. And so now I’m kind of itching for a weekend off in the summer to grab Taylor and go out and have a festival of our own. But no, I never got to do it. It’s kind of one thing I wish I would have had the opportunity to experience.”
