Brett Young’s latest single, “Catch,” is about a guy who goes out with some buddies to a bar, not intending to meet anybody, but is then swept off his feet by a girl he sees. Obviously, Brett is completely in love with his wife Taylor and thinks she’s absolutely gorgeous, but what was it about her personality that really caught Brett’s heart? “Something that always impresses me and inspires me about Taylor is how independent she is,” says Brett.
While most people develop confidence and independence as they get older and mature, Brett says, “It’s something she’s kind of always had. She’s able to love and be nurturing and caring, and also be entirely independent all at the same time. And the fact that she was able to be around me and make me feel important and loved and special but also never gave off that needy vibe,” that’s what Brett found so attractive. He says, “It was this quiet confidence and just like, level of maturity from the very beginning that she continues to just kind of refine and make even more beautiful as she gets older.”
Soon, there will be one very needy girl in Brett’s life, his baby girl, who is due in about a month or so, and he can’t wait to be needed every single day by her.
