Check any artists’ summer tour schedule these days, and you will see that it is filled with a ton of music fairs and festivals all over the country, all summer long. Justin Moore says, “There used to be a handful, but now there’s a handful of new ones every year and it’s pretty much all you play in the summer. It’s a lot of fun though, because it’s a completely different audience. The vibe is totally different than playing an arena.”
Since music festivals usually start in the afternoon and go late into the night, people often tend to start drinking and partying earlier in the day than they might for a regular concert, and Justin says, “It’s an all-day thing. So, the fans are gearing up all day.” And he jokes, “If you don’t get in the right spot they’re passed out. I always say the slot right before the headliner is the best slot on those festivals because everybody is juiced up, but it’s before they take it to the next level.”
Justin, who just scored his latest #1 song with “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” has headlined several festivals this summer, so chances are he’s played for some pretty rowdy crowds.
