(AUDIO) RASCAL FLATTS CAN’T IMAGINE TOURING LIKE THE ROLLING STONES

Rascal Flatts is still making great music, like their current top 20 hit, “Back to Life,” and they have no thoughts of retiring anytime soon, but they do see a point at which things will definitely slow down considerably for them, as far as touring goes.  Joe Don Rooney recalls, “We opened up for Rolling Stones, remember, July 4th, 2015. And I said ‘God, Gary, you imagine being, you know, early 70s and still doing this?’ He goes, ‘No, no, I don’t.”

Jay DeMarcus says, “I just don’t imagine we’ll be one of those bands that’ll go, ‘We’re retiring, it’s over.’ I don’t know if we’ll do a hundred dates ever again. You know it’ll look different as time goes on. I know Gary said before he didn’t want to be 60 singing Prayin’ For Daylight.”  And he jokes they don’t want to be on stage telling the crowd, “I’ll tell you what hurts the most!”

For now, Rascal Flatts is still going strong.  They’re currently out on their Summer Playlist Tour, which will run through early November.  Get all the details at rascalflatts.com.
