(AUDIO) LADY ANTEBELLUM SEES LOTS OF ADVANTAGES TO PLAYING A RESIDENCY VS TOURING

Lady Antebellum just wrapped up their first residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, and while they don’t have any more dates on the books for now, Charles Kelley says there are a lot of advantages to playing a residency, and they would definitely consider going back to Las Vegas for another one. “Being in one place you can really have a production that you can spend a lot of money on and still do good business,” says Charles, “because it is expensive to tour. I mean sitting down with our business manager and going, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re going to have to spend all this money on eight trucks and trailers and tour buses and all this stuff.’

In Las Vegas, while they get to stay in one place, Charles says, “We get a transient audience each night with the exception of probably maybe 20 people that come back the next night or something. It’s a new audience.”

Before Lady A thinks about another residency, they are preparing to release their new album before the end of the year, featuring their latest single, “What If I Never Get Over You.”
