Prior to releasing their current single, “Break It In,” Eli Young Band released their first Greatest Hits project, This Is Eli Young Band. Bassist Jon Jones says, “Calling it Greatest Hits took a little bit of talking to and talking through what that meant, and defining what a hit was and is to us. It’s not just number one’s at country radio. Once we could kind of wrap our heads around that, it was pretty easy to put together.”
There are some songs that weren’t number ones for Eli Young Band that are huge fan favorites, so they included them on their Greatest Hits album as well, and Jon says, “It felt like it was time to make a playlist. That’s kind of how we looked at it. This is Eli Young Band, this is our career up to now. Because there are a lot of records and there’s been a lot of songs that have been impactful and meaningful in our careers.”
The band has started on their next chapter of greatest hits with their new single, “Break It In,” which is available now.
