The guys in Midland have all had their fair share of Halloween celebrations, but when it comes to their most memorable, lead singer Mark Wystrach says it would have to be last year in Sacramento when they were on tour with Thomas Rhett. According to Mark, “Sacramento takes their Halloween very seriously, and they have one of the largest costume stores in the world, I think, and Thomas said everybody’s gettin’ dressed up for it.”
Bassist Cameron Duddy dressed up as a sheik, and lead guitarist Jess Carson was a pharaoh, but there was some debate about which character Mark was going for. Cameron says he was dressed as the Burger King, but Mark quickly clarified, “I wouldn’t say the Burger King, okay, but I was thinking like Prince Charming or something like that.”
Regardless of what kind of king he was, Mark says they all had a good time because they enjoyed a couple of cocktails before they went on stage. And luckily, they’re ready for this Halloween because Cameron says, “We saved all the outfits, too, and we’ve got ‘em for this coming up Halloween.”
Midland is currently headlining their Let It Roll tour, to promote their latest album, featuring “Mr. Lonely,” but they have Halloween night off this year, so they may save last year’s costumes for 2020.
