Eli Young Band chose to use the video for their last number one song, “Love Ain’t,” to support The Wounded Warriors Project, which supports military men and women who have been injured in the line of duty. They wanted to shine a spotlight on the fact that for many veterans, the real fight begins when they return home from war. Mike Eli says, “In the Eli Young band we’ve put such an importance and a priority on what we do with the Armed Forces. Veterans Day is just one of those days that it’s just so important that we remember, that we say thank you.”
Just as they aimed to show in the “Love Ain’t” video, Mike says, “These days, I mean, it’s different than it was ten years ago, there are a lot of men and women that served and they’re still fighting the fight of the aftermath of what they saw there, what they went through there.”
Mike and the Eli Young Band hope all of us will remember as we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th, that “we wouldn’t have what we have without them and so I think it’s always important to say thank you.”
Eli Young Band is currently on the charts with “Break It In,” their follow-up to “Love Ain’t.”
