(AUDIO) LADY ANTEBELLUM REVEALS A THANKSGIVING SPOOF TO ‘OLD TOWN ROAD’

Every now and then, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood enjoy creating parody songs to popular hits, and when asked if there were any new ones in the works, Charles said, “I’m not gonna lie, we did have a Thanksgiving one that we literally were piddling around with and we wrote like in 30 minutes backstage. And Dave of course, is just so fast with everything.  He found like a track and we literally recorded it on this laptop called ‘Turkey Mode,’ and it’s to ‘Old Town Road.’ So it’s like a Thanksgiving one.”

So far, “Turkey Mode” has yet to surface online.  According to Charles, “We had plans to do a big video and they’ve gone by the wayside.”

But he did say there’s still a chance they could release the song online before the holiday, so keep an eye on Lady Antebellum’s social media.  In the meantime, Lady A has been enjoying terrific feedback, from fans and critics alike, about their brand new album, Ocean, which was just released on November 15th, featuring their latest song, “What If I Never Get Over You,”
