(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN IS LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING CLOSE TO HOME ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

Riley Green has a New Year’s Eve show planned in his home state of Alabama, at the Bama Slam Saloon, in New Brockton, which is about two hours and 45 minutes south of his hometown of Jackson, Alabama.  Riley admits, “I haven’t played a New Year’s show in like six years,” because he says, “New Year’s is not really a good time for musicians to play because bars never wanted to pay anything because people are going to show up anyway.”

But now that Riley has some success under his belt, including his latest song, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” getting a huge reaction from fans everywhere, and currently sitting in the top 25 on the charts, and having his debut album out, he says, “Getting to play somewhat close to the house, back in Alabama for New Year’s, I’m sure I’ll see a lot of familiar faces and it’ll be a it’ll be a rowdy night I’m sure.”

Last we checked, there were a couple of categories of tickets available for this show, although VIP and general admission tickets are sold out.  But I you want to go, check out rileygreenmusic.com and get your tickets while you still can.

Riley Green – New Year’s Eve show  :21

“I haven’t played a New Year’s show in like six years.  The last one I did was in Birmingham.  I opened for Corey Smith at Iron City. And since then, you know, New Year’s is not really a good time for musicians to play because bars never wanted to pay anything because people are going to show up anyway.  That being said, getting to play somewhat close to the house, back in Alabama for New Year’s, I’m sure I’ll see a lot of familiar faces and it’ll be a it’ll be a rowdy night I’m sure.”
