(AUDIO) LIVING IN A STATE OF GRATEFULNESS IS A DAILY DECISION FOR FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE

Life is pretty good for Florida Georgia Line these days, and they know it, but they are careful to never take all of the blessings God has brought into their lives for granted.  “We’re always trying to stay in kind of a mind state of thankfulness,” says Tyler Hubbard.

Part of what keeps them grateful is remembering what life was like before they got to where they are today.  “There was a time where we didn’t have anything to lose, kind of didn’t have a whole lot,” says Tyler, “and were just chasing a dream and a passion, and knew that God had a plan for us and knew there was a wife out there for us and a family.”

Now that so many of those dreams they were chasing have been realized, Tyler says, “Every day we wake up, it’s a reminder we get to go write songs, it’s a reminder that we’re around good people, it’s a reminder that the fans show up at these shows.  It’s a reminder that we have good food and that we have our heath and that we have our families.”  He adds, “It’s hard to be in a bad mood or stay down too long if you’re kind of staying in that mind state of thankfulness.”

However, being grateful is not something that comes automatically, no matter how much you’ve been blessed with, but Tyler says, “I think you can kind of train yourself to be that way, no matter where you’re at or what you have materialistically. So, it’s something we’re working on and really enjoy trying to stay there.”

One good reminder of gratitude for Florida Georgia Line, is their latest single, “Blessings,” which is currently climbing the charts.
