Outside of music, one of Justin Moore’s other big passions is sports. He loves to watch sports and he loves to talk about sports, which is why he says if he were going to join the podcast world, “No doubt about it I’d do a podcast about sports.”
In fact, when Justin was making the rounds to promote his latest album, Late Nights and Longnecks, featuring his latest single, “Why We Drink,” he says, I did a lot of sports radio and TV shows, which was a lot of fun for me. You know I’ve actually talked about starting a podcast for over a year now. I just haven’t pulled the trigger on it.”
Since Justin’s music is what he’s best known for, if he did a podcast, he says, “A lot of it would be sports – there’d be some music related stuff, but more just kind of current events and sports stuff. I’ve actually said down the road when I can – not quit music, but slow down substantially – that I wouldn’t even mind having a sports show whether it be on radio or podcasts or whatever.”
That dream of having his own sports show may have to wait a little while since Justin is busier than ever with his music. He’s out in his Late Nights and Longnecks Tour with Tracy Lawrence through early April, plus playing some of his own shows, and then he’ll hit the fair and festival circuit this summer.
