(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT IS A SPONGE WHEN HE WATCHES OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVE SHOWS

Thomas Rhett will kick off his Center Point Road Tour next month, and he admits that his new tours are often shaped by things he’s seen while watching other artists’ live shows.  “I’m always drawing inspiration from other tours,” says Thomas. “I talk about Bruno Mars all the time but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better production or more entertaining show in my entire life.”

And whether it’s Bruno or Thomas’ peers in the country world, like Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan or Jason Aldean, Thomas is always keeping his eyes open and learning, and he says, “You kinda go in and you take certain aspects that you loved about their show, and you’re like ‘Okay, how can I do something kind of like that?’ Whether it’s production, whether it’s lighting, whether it’s a video wall in a place you’ve never seen it before … or what is the mood before the show? What is the mood in between acts?”

Thomas always wants to make sure he is giving his fans their money’s worth at his concerts, and he always wants to make sure each tour is fresh and exciting and different, which is why he says, “I think when you get into the rehearsal space, so much stuff comes to life based on what you loved about your show last year and then all the things that you want to change about your show this year.”

This year, Thomas will be bringing Cole Swindell and Hardy on the road as his opening acts, plus, he has duets on his latest album with Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Jon Pardi, who sings with him on his latest single, “Beer Can’t Fix,” so you never know when or if a special guest might show up on the Center Point Road Tour.
