Brantley Gilbert has settled down a lot since he got married in 2011 and became a father of two, but there are certain things that have the potential to bring out the fightin’ side of him, like internet trolls who go too far. In general, Brantley isn’t fazed by trolls who want to talk smack about him or his music, or make stupid comments. He says, “I’m good about all of it, mostly.”
Usually, Brantley ignores internet trolls or doesn’t take them seriously, but when his kids get older and start to get online, or if his wife, Amber, is online and someone is going beyond just being ignorant or a jerk, and is threatening them or something more serious, Brantley says the thought of that kind of stuff makes him nervous, because, “if somebody crossed that line, I may have to go find ‘em.”
If I was an internet troll and Brantley Gilbert (and his band of motorcycle brothers) was looking for me, I’d be the one who was nervous. But for now, Brantley is happy and living a peaceful life, although, unfortunately, like the rest of the music industry, he has had to postpone his Fire’t Up Tour through the end of the month, and will re-evaluate at that time if it’s safe to get back out on the road or not. If you have a ticket to one of his shows in the near future, be sure to check his social media for updates.
