Brantley Gilbert, his wife Amber, and their two young children live in a beautiful house down in Brantley’s home state of Georgia, and the history of the house is a bit of a funny story. Brantley explains that years ago, when he and Amber were broken up, “My business manager and my manager talked me into building a house. Honestly, they were asking me about my goals early on and I was like, ‘Man, you know, there’s a piece of property that I’d love that I’d love to be able to buy and put me a doublewide on it and I’m good to go.” But he says, “They talked me into building a house.”
Not only was Brantley going to build the house of his dreams, but he admits, “I actually built that house on purpose, because (Amber) had to come by it when she came home from college, when we weren’t together.” He says, “I was like, well, if I’m gonna (build a house), I’m gonna make damn sure she can see it from the road every time she came home from school or went to her mom’s house. It’s 3 minutes from her mom’s.”
Almost five years ago, Brantley and Amber finally got their timing right in their relationship and they got married, and Brantley says with a smile, “And now we live in that house, which turns out great because she’s only three minutes from her mama.”
You can see Brantley broadcasting live from his house every Friday on Instagram, when he hosts Fire’t Up Fridays, in honor of his latest single, “Fire’t Up.” While Brantley and most of the country is still staying at home due to the coronavirus, you can catch Brantley and special guests every Friday at 9pm ET/8pm CT on Instagram live @brantleygilbert.
