When Justin Moore was in the process of building his dream house in Arkansas, one of the things he talked about wanting was a garden. It’s an ambitious undertaking, since he has four small kids under the age of 10, three dogs, three horses, three cows, and two cats, and the fact that when he’s not locked down at home because of the coronavirus, he’s on the road a lot touring, year-round. For now, though, it seems Justin has decided to hold off on the garden. “So, we moved in our house, I guess, three years ago, and it feels like we’re just now kind of finishing it,” he says. “That’s the way it always feels, it seems like. But we definitely have discussed having a garden and wanting a garden, we just haven’t done it yet.”
Justin swears within the coming year he’ll have his garden up and running, and he hopes he’ll have the skills to make it successful. He says, “As far as do I have a green thumb?” Justin asks, “I don’t really know. I know I helped my folks growing up doing it but that was them saying, ‘Hey, go do this.’ Now that I’m gonna be the one having to do it I need to educate myself a little more than I have.”
Since Justin is sidelined from touring, and promoting his top 20 single, “Why We Drink,” has been relegated to the phone or social media or video chat, now might be the perfect time for him to get his garden up and running.
