Probably one of the hardest things for artists who aren’t able to tour right now is not having any idea when they might be able to get back out on the road. Carly Pearce says, “You know, it’s funny, I feel like I really don’t know. I was talking to Kelsea about this last night, and it would be so much easier, I feel like, if we had a light at the end of the tunnel, like a date where we were like, ‘This is when we go back out.’ But I think a lot of people say it won’t go back to normal until next year.”
Carly feels like someone is going to have to be the first to play a show. She says, “I believe somebody has to just do it. Somebody has to go play some sort of show. And I still have shows on the books starting in August. It seems like with every passing month they go away, but I’m hopeful and I hope that we get out there, and I know I’m ready.”
Carly has only had a chance to play a handful of shows since she released her self-titled sophomore album this past Valentine’s Day, so she’s been dying to perform some of the new music live for her fans, including her recent #1 hit, “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”
