Danielle Bradbery’s brand new radio single is called “Never Have I Ever,” and while a lot of people might assume it was written about her current boyfriend, professional model, Bennett Jonas, she reveals that actually, she co-wrote the song when she was single, about the feeling she one day hoped to find. However, Danielle explains how meeting Bennett right around the time she was preparing “Never Have I Ever” to be her next single, almost seemed like fate.
“We met through Instagram,” Danielle confesses. Apparently she slid into his DM’s and was the first to reach out, which, she says, “was (an) all-time first for me. And I said, ‘Hey, have you ever been to Nashville?’ And his first response was, ‘Never have I ever. Have you ever been to L.A.?’”
Danielle couldn’t believe that her new song title was the first thing this guy she just met ever said to her. “I’m like, this is just really crazy to me. And from then on, the rest is history.”
Now Danielle says, even though Bennett wasn’t the original inspiration when the song was written, her relationship with him definitely embodies everything she sings about wanting from a relationship in the song. So, as far as she’s concerned, the song is about him.

“It’s so crazy how timing and everything works because in the making of that song and planning it being a single, I met my now boyfriend. And I said, ‘Hey, have you ever been to Nashville?’ And his first response was, ‘Never have I ever. Have you ever been to L.A.?’ And I’m like, okay (big laugh). I’m like, this is just really crazy to me. And from then on, the rest is history.”
