Brett Young is all about working hard and making sure his family is provided for, and also making sure he takes care of his money so that he doesn’t end up like one of those celebrities who spends money faster than he can earn it. That mentality was instilled in him from a young age. “I’ve always been one that growing up I didn’t want for anything, but also my dad was a pastor so we weren’t like wealthy. So we were always kind of middle class. And so, I don’t know why, for whatever reason I always had kind of a healthy understanding and respect for money.”
Even as a kid and a teenager, if Brett wasn’t playing an organized sport in the summer, rather than going to music festivals or just wasting the days away, he says, “I wanted to make sure that I was making money and not always had my hand in (my parents’) pockets.”
With six #1 songs to his credit and his seventh song, “Lady,” currently making its way up the chart, we’re pretty sure if Brett maintains that healthy outlook on his finances, he and his family will be just fine for many, many years to come.
