A few months ago, Thomas Rhett got a brand new Traeger wood pellet grill, so this summer he’s been doing a lot of grilling and smoking and trying out new recipes. He recently posted a picture of a perfectly cooked brisket after four previous flavorful but too tough attempts. When we asked Thomas what else he’s been enjoying smoking, he said, “Ribs have been my favorite thing to make. I follow this account [on Instagram] called Meat Church and they make a lot of great rubs. And if you have the time to do it let those ribs sit on there for five to six hours and wrap ‘em in aluminum foil with some butter and brown sugar, some good ol’ Meat Church rub and you’re good to go.”
Besides grilling, Thomas has been busy in the studio the last few weeks working on what he calls “some of the best music I’ve written.” The new music will be a follow-up to his Center Point Road album, and his current top ten single, “Be A Light,” which is a song he wrote about a year and a half ago that isn’t on his CPR album, but that he felt compelled to share with his fans during this unique time in our world.
