During the pandemic, artists have been trying to find ways to stay connected with their fans while they’re not touring, including the Eli Young Band, who believes in some ways they’ve been able to get even closer to their fans online. Lead guitarist James Young points out, “We’ve kinda brought the fans into our homes since this all started. We were doing weekly chats there with each other for a while cause we missed each other and we were just wanting to catch up every week. And we’d invite fans and everybody to watch and playing songs acoustically, kinda just redoing our catalog just acoustic, us in our rooms or offices or whatever.”
Eli Young Band has also been able to share more of their personal life with their fans because James says, “We’ve gotten to do certain things with our family, too, that normally we might not be doing if we were on the road. And so, we get to share that with the fans as well.”
The band is constantly working on ways that they can bring live music to their fans outside of live internet streams, including socially distant shows. To find out about upcoming shows, visit eliyoungband.com.
