CURRENT SINGLE: “Champagne Night”
Charles Kelley of Lady A is one of three brothers in his family, and it turns out the three of them started a pretty interesting Thanksgiving tradition years ago. “One of my most memorable Thanksgiving memories was probably the first year that me and my two brothers decided to start our annual eating contest,” Charles says, “where we ate throughout the whole day. We started that morning and weighed ourselves, and at the very end of the night we weighed ourselves out.”
The goal of the contest was to see which brother could gain the most weight in one day by stuffing themselves with Thanksgiving food and desserts, but it turns out there was no clear cut winner. “All three of us equally gained five pounds,” says Charles. “I wish we had a more accurate scale to decide the winner, but we all tied. Five pounds.”
While a lot of us dread the thought of putting on weight around the holidays, if you’ve seen Charles, you know he is very tall and lanky, so he was rather proud and excited about gaining five pounds in one day.
