(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN COULD USE A GOOD MECHANIC ON STANDBY

CURRENT SINGLE: “If It Wasn’t for Trucks”

Riley Green likes to collect old cars, and he’s got several of them on his property down in Alabama, but he admits, “I’ve got a little bit of a problem.  I like buying and selling old cars, but I’m not a car guy.  I’m not mechanically smart, so if it doesn’t run, I have to get somebody to fix it.  But I’ve got a lot of vehicles that don’t run at my house.”

Riley’s passion is old cars, but not really old sports cars.  He says, “I really struggle to try to get in sports cars.  I tried to get in a Porsche one time and it wasn’t for me.  I barely fit in that thing.  But I’ve got like a old ’68 Bronco that I learned to drive in.  It was my first truck.  I’ve got some old Chevy square bodies.”

And it’s not that Riley is a Ford guy or a Chevy guy. “It’s not really a brand as much as it is just … I like that smell, gettin’ in an old car that’s got a carburetor, and the sound of it runnin’,” he explains.

And the reason he likes old cars is because he says, “You can buy the newest Mercedes, the brand new one that’s out, but in a year it’s not gonna be the newest one.  You gotta go get a new one, but a ’68 Bronco is always gonna be cool.”

If you look at the cover of Riley’s latest EP, If It Wasn’t For Trucks, which is also the title of his latest single, the cool looking old red truck on the cover is one that was just sitting on his property that made for the perfect shot without anybody having to do much of anything to it.
