CURRENT SINGLE: “How They Remember You”
This year, the rules about when it’s appropriate to put your Christmas decorations up kind of went out the window for a lot of people, with some decorations being spotted on houses before Halloween. Gary LeVos of Rascal Flatts says, “I think this year with the Covid stuff, I think it’s just somebody lookin’ for some type of enjoyment. Usually though, it’s around, you know, right after Thanksgiving, I guess, at my house.”
While Jay DeMarcus’ family doesn’t get their Christmas decorations up before Halloween, they’re close. “November 1st, [my wife] Alli has the trees up and lighted and ready to go. It’s a day after Halloween and it’s up, cause she figures if you go through the trouble you should enjoy it for at least a couple months.”
For Joe Don Rooney, he’s less concerned about when it’s appropriate to put your Christmas decorations up. “The big thing too, [is] when you take it down,” he says. “I hate having to take it down … we usually wait until sometime in late January.
Jay jokes that his Christmas decorations don’t come down at his house until Valentine’s Day, he was only kidding, maybe.
