Whether it’s spending time with their fans at live shows, or spending time with their family and friends at the holidays, Charles Kelley of Lady A says of 2020, “That’s probably the one positive take I can say, is that it’s made me really cherish these moments.”
Hillary Scott agrees, and she probably speaks for a lot of us when she talks about missing being able to celebrate the relationships in her life. “I mean, I feel like whether you’re family lives far away, whether it’s just because you’re trying to be as safe as possible through this time with Covid and social distancing and all of that, my heart is just yearning for connection and memories being made with people I love, friends and family.”
While the prospect of being able to have large family gatherings during the holidays is not looking good, there is hope for touring to resume and be somewhat back to normal by the summer of 2021, and Hillary says, “I just keep praying that it’s possible and safe at that time and that we can cherish each other and being together.”
Lady a will perform on the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday night, December 19th, then their first scheduled tour date of 2021, so far, is July 10th in Prior Lake, Minnesota, for the Lakefront Music Fest.
