CURRENT SINGLE: “If It Wasn’t for Trucks”
Riley Green has spent a lot of his down time during the pandemic hunting, and with all the time he’s spent in the woods, often by himself, it’s given him a chance to take a few lessons from 2020 and adjust his mindset as he looks ahead to 2021. In terms of what he’ll try to do differently in the New Year, Riley says, “I think that more so than anything will be trying to live in the moment a little more, trying to take in some of those accomplishments and some of those moments that I have on stages that I really never thought I’d be on.”
Although Riley has never take his career for granted, this past year has definitely been a bit of a wake-up call. “From the moment I signed my record deal,” says Riley, “I’ve definitely looked at it as something that wasn’t here forever, wasn’t guaranteed. But, man, what a way to kind of reiterate that, is a year like 2020’s been.”
One thing Riley definitely wants to change in the New Year is living life so fast and always thinking about what’s next, and missing all the cool things happening in his career right now. “I don’t know how you can’t have a different perspective when you get to slow down the way that I have over the last few months,” says Riley, “and just take a step back and look at, you know, what’s kind of important in life and what you wanna get out of it, what you want to accomplish, and more so, what makes you happy. What about what you’re doing is enjoyable, and kind of focus in on that a little more than stuff that just wears you out.”
Riley already has several tour dates on his schedule in 2021, beginning February 17th, and he will definitely be grateful for each and every one that he is able to play. Check rileygreenmusic.com for more details.
