CURRENT SINGLE: “Long Live”
Both Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line are talented songwriters. They’ve written a lot of the hits FGL has recorded over the years, plus, they’ve written hit songs for other artists as well. People often wonder how they decide which songs to keep and which ones to give away, and BK says, “You kinda know when [it’s] a song you need to cut, that you can’t imagine letting it go, or there’s like a certain ownership level of that. You’re like, hey, that’s probably FGL’s, or that’s probably ours, or hey, we might be able to let that one go.”
Perhaps because they write so many songs, and they’re not worried about having enough good ones to choose from when it comes time for Florida Georgia Line to record an album, BK says, “For us there’s no overthinking it. If it feels good and it sounds good, we want to give our fans songs that’ll make them think, and we wanna give them songs that will also make them want to have a good time and crank it up and blow their speakers a little bit. And also songs that make ‘em wanna tell their family or their loved ones they love ‘em or miss ‘em.”
Florida Georgia Line’s latest single, “Long Live,” which is currently sitting in the top ten on the charts, gives fans a little bit of all of that.
