CURRENT SINGLE: “How They Remember You”
When Rascal Flatts had to cancel their Farewell Tour in 2020, it was a huge disappointment for them and for their fans. “I think touring for us is our life‘s blood,” says Jay DeMarcus. “I mean, that’s what we live to do.”
Over the last 20 years, Rascal Flatts has heard thousands of stories of how their music has touched people’s lives, and Jay says, “It’s so amazing to have your music impact people, first of all. But to see that in the moment, that reaction of the fans singing your songs back to you, and knowing that you’ve touched their lives in some way, that is the one thing that you dream and hope for when you start out to do this.”
Getting to be with their fans in person and feel the love and the energy that is exchanged between them and the fans is the most special part of what Rascal Flatts does. “I think that’s the moment that it all comes together,” says Jay. “We’re face-to-face with the fans that have allowed us to live the most amazing lives we could’ve ever imagined.”
Rascal Flatts isn’t sure if they’ll be able to find another time to give the fans a farewell tour. They say, never say never, but for now, chances are you’ll be seeing at least a couple of the guys from Rascal Flatts touring with their own new solo and collaborative projects.
