CURRENT SINGLE: “We Didn’t Have Much”
Most artists will tell you that at some point in their career, they’ve caught their mind wandering while they’re performing a live concert. Whether they start thinking about things at home or work things, or even the most random things, it happens. Justin Moore says it happens to him, and he says, “It’s weird. It’s almost like an out of body experience. It seems to always happen during ‘If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.’ I don’t know why that is.”
The really weird part for Justin about his mind wandering while he’s on stage, is sometimes he has no idea where it goes. He says, “I’ll be singing, and you’ll think about something completely unrelated, or you won’t think at all, is what happens to me. And you have to go, ‘Dude, you gotta focus, because you’re on stage in front of thousands of people right now.’ It’s so strange. You would almost have to experience it. I don’t really know how to even describe it, honestly.”
Justin likens the feeling to when you’re driving a familiar route, and you suddenly realize you don’t remember the last several miles. You’re not being reckless, but it’s like you left your body, missed a few miles of the trip and then snapped out of it.
