CURRENT SINGLE: “Country Again”
Over the weekend, Thomas Rhett played his first live shows in over a year at Billy Bob’s Texas, and while he was on stage, his wife Lauren talked to him in is in-ear monitors just before he sang “To the Guys That Date My Girls,” off his new album, and gave him permission to reveal to the crowd that they are expecting their fourth little girl in November! When Thomas shared the news on Instagram, he joked, “We are pumped to be having our 4th girl! Feel free to buy all the merch you want, knowing that all the proceeds are going straight to all these weddings I’ll be paying for one day.”
Based on the math, Lauren is about three months pregnant, which may be sooner than she and Thomas anticipated, because back in September, when he talked about having three kids under the age of five, Thomas said “I think we’re happy where we’re at today. We definitely wanna have two more, but I think we’re definitely gonna wait a couple years before we start trying again, cause we’re just now comin’ up for air a little bit.”
The new baby is due in November, which means their oldest daughter, Willa Gray will have just turned six, Ada James will be four, and Lennon Love will be about 21 months old, and Thomas says, “My wife wants to have five kids. If I could look into a crystal ball, we’ll probably have another one, and more than likely adopt another child as well. But I guarantee once we have five she’ll want seven, so we’ll see.”
Having a big family has always been Thomas’ dream. “I cannot wait to be 50 or 60 years old and look at my Thanksgiving or Christmas table and see five to seven kids and grandkids. That’s just always been a dream of ours.”
Thomas finished that thought by saying, “But we’re good where we’re at for now, to say the least,” which means he’s got about six months to wrap his head around adding another baby to the family so soon.
