CURRENT SINGLE: “The Worst Country Song of All Time” June 21
Brantley Gilbert’s son, Barrett, is three years old, and BG hopes as he gets older, that he will inherit some of the old school values and principles he got from his own dad. “I come from a long line of old school folks,” says Brantley My dad‘s old school. He got it from my paw paw. And I won’t go too far in depth on any of that, but he’s just old school, man.”
While Brantley doesn’t go into detail about what he means when he says his dad is old school, it likely involves being a man of his word, handling his own business, never laying his hands on or mistreating women, standing up and protecting himself and his family, and treatin’ people with respect as long as they treat him with respect.
But however Brantley defines old school, he says, “I definitely hope that’s something my son gets. I think it’s safe to say I got it. I love my dad. He means the world to me.”
