NEW SINGLE: “The Worst Country Song of All Time”
Fourth of July is all about celebrating America’s independence and the freedoms we enjoy in the United States of America. For Brantley Gilbert, one of the greatest freedoms he enjoys is sharing his music with his fans through his live shows. He missed it so much during the pandemic, that at his first show back, he got himself into a bit of a sticky situation trying to get as close as possible to his fans to celebrate being back together.
Brantley posted the video of himself jumping into a huge crowd of fans at the backstage fence on social media, and he says, “We were playing a show, a military base in Alaska, and we were really excited to be back on stage and back all playin’ together. And I walked up to the fence and they weren’t lettin’ people come up to the fence.”
Normally, Brantley would shake hands and say hi, maybe sign a few autographs through the fence, but because the fans couldn’t get close enough to the fence, he jumped over it and waded into the middle of the crowd. “Before I knew it, honestly it wasn’t really even a fluent thought. I just kind of kept goin’. And it was awesome! It was an awesome feeling.”
At one point the crowd started getting pretty big, and Brantley says, “I think all of us had a little moment, like a ‘oops’ moment, when we figured out that everybody at the show was on their way to where we were. But, man, I gotta tell ya, it was a good feelin’.”
Brantley won’t be working on the 4th of July, but he’ll be back on stage beginning July 9th, playing his own shows and some fairs and festivals. Check Brantleygilbert.com for his complete tour schedule.
