(AUDIO) FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’S TYLER HUBBARD AND HIS WIFE LOVE RAISING KIDS WHO ENJOY EATING HEALTHY FOOD

CURRENT SINGLE: “Lil Bit”

Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley are raising their kids to have a real love for healthy, wholesome and nutritious food.  All three of their kids, Olivia, Luca and Atlas, are under the age of four and are often seen on Instagram eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and delicious dishes like sweet potato breakfast bowls, green juice, overnight oats, hummus and chia pudding.  Tyler explains one of the ways they’ve introduced their kids to healthy eating is by example.  “They eat the same thing we eat every night. That’s kind of our thing.  Like, whatever’s on our plate, that’s what’s on the menu tonight. There’s no other options. We’re not cooking chicken tenders or fish sticks. You get to eat what we eat.”

Another thing that has helped Tyler’s kids embrace healthy eating is planting a garden and letting the kids play a role in maintaining it, while learning about where their food comes from.  “They’re intrigued by it so much and fascinated, and love even just pickin’ it off the vine and eatin’ it,” says Tyler. “So, it’s fun to watch. It’s definitely not how I grew up but I’m really happy that we are where we’re at, and it’s fun to see the kids happy about eatin’ healthy food.”

Tyler and Hayley been help more people get access to and develop a love for healthy, nutritious food, through Feeding Nashville, an organization they helped create to give people in Nashville affected by the March 2020 tornadoes and the pandemic, the opportunity to enjoy nutritious meals made from natural ingredients.  The program was originally meant to last three months, but it is still going strong today, having served over 70,000 meals so far to the community.  In fact, Feeding Nashville will be making a big announcement Tuesday morning, 7/6, about plans to continue to fund the program.

Tyler Hubbard – “They eat the same thing we eat every night. That’s kind of our thing.  Like, whatever’s on our plate, that’s what’s on the menu tonight. There’s no other options. We’re not cooking chicken tenders or fish sticks. You get to eat what we eat. And they like that. They’d be envious if they didn’t get to eat salmon or whatever we’re eatin’. But also, them being a part of the garden and watching the food grow and the whole thing.  They’re intrigued by it so much and fascinated, and love even just pickin’ it off the vine and eatin’ it.  So, it’s fun to watch. It’s definitely not how I grew up but I’m really happy that we are where we’re at, and it’s fun to see the kids happy about eatin’ healthy food.”
