CURRENT SINGLE: “The Worst Country Song of All Time”
Brantley Gilbert considers his band and crew part of his extended family, so whenever he has to add someone to the mix, he wants to make sure they’re going to fit into the family. “My road family, that’s hard enough to get into,” Brantley says. “Any time we get a new guy who comes in to try to work a job, really for me my quickest litmus test is seeing how they do with the guys that are there. Cause that’s my family and those guys know how I operate like the back of their hand.”
But getting’ the stamp of approval from Brantley’s current band and crew members is only step one of the process to join the team. Brantley says, “If they can cut it with them, when they kinda sign off on ‘em, I’ve got my own little thing that I put ‘em through, after.”
We were a little nervous to find out, so we didn’t ask Brantley exactly what his test is for screening potential new members of his band or crew.
