NEW SINGLE – “Sunrise Tells the Story”
Midland’s brand new single, “Sunrise Tells the Story,” was co-written by band member Jess Carson, and in explaining what the song is about, he says, “Mark actually, we’ve been playing it live and he’s been introducing it saying, ‘I think it’s about a couple getting caught in the act of falling in love.’ I think that’s a great descriptor of it because it is so open ended.”
While the song doesn’t tell the listener what happens the next morning, Jess says, “In this modern age I think that’s how a fair amount of relationships start. Two people are attracted to each other and wind up together some night, and the morning after is the unwritten story. That’s the blank page that you can fill in with whatever you want, and it can be a beautiful thing.”
“Sunrise Tells the Story” is the first release off Midland’s latest EP, The Last Resort, which they released in July.
