(AUDIO) CONNER SMITH CAN’T WAIT TO WRITE SONGS WITH RYAN HURD ON TOUR

DEBUT SINGLE – “Learn From It”

It’s been a busy and exciting time for Conner Smith, who just dropped his six-song debut collection called Didn’t Go Too Far last Friday (1/14), the day after he helped Ryan Hurd kick off his tour de Pelago (1/13) in Ohio.  It turns out Conner and Ryan were friends before the tour.  “He is one of my favorite people in town,” says Conner, “and has been such an encourager and supporter for me, and just a champion for me around town.”

Not only that, the two guys have written songs together, including “Take It Slow,” which is part of Conner’s debut collection, and he says, “We really kinda connected on a human level as songwriters first. And so, I’m excited to get to do shows but also while we’re out there we’ll be writing a bunch. We’re gonna have other writers come out and ride his bus and we’re gonna get to kinda write in the day before the shows, and I cannot wait to see what we come up with.”

Ryan’s songwriting credits include Lady A’s “You Look Good,” “What If I Never Get Over You” and their brand new single, “What A Song Can Do,” Luke Bryan’s “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” and Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight,” and Conner says, “He’s one of the best songwriters in Nashville, and so I’m excited that we’re gonna get to spend some time together as friends but also as songwriters.”

Conner will be opening for Ryan through early April, which means they will have plenty of opportunity to write some great songs over the next few months.

He is one of my favorite people in town and has been such an encourager and supporter for me, and just a champion for me around town. We wrote a song that I got to put out called ‘Take It Slow,’ and we really kinda connected on a human level as songwriters first. And so, I’m excited to get to do shows but also while we’re out there we’ll be writing a bunch. We’re gonna have other writers come out and ride his bus and we’re gonna get to kinda write in the day before the shows, and I cannot wait to see what we come up with.
