DEBUT SINGLE – “Shuffle”
If you listen to Laci Kaye Booth’s debut collection of songs, which is available now, you’ll hear a mixture of love and heartbreak with a little bit of feistiness thrown in. If you listen closely, you might notice a thread that runs through several of the songs where Laci is very guarded with her heart, and used to run away from relationships before she got her heart broken. She admits, “I was the one to run before. I felt like that at least. I haven’t had that many serious relationships in my life, but I’ve always been afraid of being vulnerable and commitment in a way.”
Laci’s father, Jody Booth, is a Texas country singer who was pretty much on the road all the time when Laci was a little girl, which really put a strain on their relationship, and Laci says, “I didn’t really have a lot of stability when it came to a man. And so, it scared me to be in relationships. I think you can hear that a lot in my songs and the way I write.”
Fortunately, Laci reconciled with her dad when she was 15, and she’s been able to learn to trust love and relationships a little more.

I think you can hear that a lot in my songs and the way I write.”
