DEBUT SINGLE – “Shuffle”
For the first 15 years of Laci Kaye Booth’s life, her relationship with her biological father was non-existent. He is also a musician, and when she was about three years old, he basically left the family to pursue his music. “My dad traveled all the time and played different places all over Texas,” says Laci. “He was gone a lot, so we weren’t super close.”
Laci even wrote a song on her self-titled debut EP about her father leaving, called “If He Would Have Stayed.” Ironically, music took Laci’s dad out of her life when she was a toddler, and it was music that brought him back into her life when she was about 15-years-old. That’s when Laci says, “He took me to Arkansas for the first time and I recorded some music – about three or four songs – and we really bonded.”
Now Laci is blessed to have a great relationship with both her biological dad and her stepdad.
