Lady A sings about the power of music in their latest single, “What A Song Can Do,” including the power to create memories.  Hillary Scott of Lady A remembers how music was a big part of the early days of Lady A. “I think about when we were driving around in your Jeep,” she said to Charles Kelley, “and the albums that you had on repeat, and how it’s truly burned in my brain. I can like still see the road, mostly to Ohio. We were there a lot that first year. And it was Imogen Heap, it was Mindy Smith.”

Dave Haywood jumped in and said, “Keane, don’t forget the Keane.”

Hillary remembers Keane, and she also recalls, “It was Patty Griffin – a lot of emotional women singing to you.”

Charles agrees that he listened to a lot of music by emotional women when Lady A was burning up the roads earl in their career.  He says, – “It is funny.  When I’m on road trips I like very relaxing music. It calms me.”

Lady A is no longer traveling together in a Jeep these days since they have their own tour buses, but music is still very much a part of their trips and still helping them make memories on the road.
