A lot of life happens in the crowd at concerts, from proposals to break ups to first dates to reunions and more. Eli Young Band bassist Jon Jones says, “Luckily we’ve had a lot more people come up to us and say, ‘Your show was our first date,’” or ‘I proposed at one of your shows.’ And we’ve had very few people say, ‘We broke up.’ (or) ‘I really thought about divorce.’ That hasn’t happened.”
Even with Eli Young Band’s last #1 song, “Love Ain’t,” which was all about a guy convincing a girl the way she was being treated in her relationship wasn’t what she deserved,” Mike Eli says there was still “A lot of love at the Eli Young Band concerts.”
The band hopes everyone who comes to their shows has a great night with positive memories, whether they’re singing “Love Ain’t” or their new single, “Love Talking,” which is all about a guy letting the love do the talking when he’s telling a woman how he feels about her.
