CURRENT SINGLE: “Love Talking”
Often times, entertainers will tell you that performing for our troops is so gratifying, but also seems so inadequate as a way to repay our military men and women for their service and sacrifice to the country. Bassist Jon Jones of Eli Young Band says, “We’ve had a great opportunity to play for our troops both at home and abroad. It’s really just allowed us to understand a little bit of the sacrifice they’re making, to see it firsthand. It’s just a truly great honor to be their entertainment, to you know, maybe be their release for a minute, or to be the music that they take overseas with them when they’re out on tour.”
When the four members of Eli Young Band got together in college, they dreamed of a lot of aspects of having a successful country music career, but Jon says getting to perform for our service men and women, “It’s been one of the biggest, I guess, pleasures of our career. It’s one of the things that we never thought about would be so meaningful to us when we started a band.”
