DEBUT SINGLE: “How It Oughta Be”
Shane Profitt will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on November 1st, and for him it’s a dream come true. Chris Janson and his wife Kelly actually surprised Shane with the news in a fun way (you can see the video below), when he thought he was just going to their house to do some work.
Shane Profitt – being told about Opry debut :39
“My manager Kelly, that’s also Chris Janson‘s wife, told me to come over, and they told me I needed to come over to do some liners. You know, you say, ‘Hey, I’m Shane Profitt, thanks for listening to this radio station,’ kinda thing. Well, to speed the process up, Chris was acting like he was readin’ me these liners, and the whole time it was fake. And he was just thinkin’ of stuff off the top of his head, and I was just repeatin’ after him. And one of the things he said was, ‘Hey, I’m Shane Profitt and I’m gonna be makin’ my Grand Ole Opry debut,’ for me to repeat it. And as soon as he said it, tears started fillin’ my eyes and I just got chills up and down my spine. That’s one of the best, most exciting things that’s ever happened to me.”

Shane’s family, who are his biggest cheerleaders, will undoubtedly be at the Grand Ole Opry on November 1st to watch him make his debut, and Chris Janson, who has become a mentor and friend to Shane, will also be performing that night.
