NEW SINGLE: “You, Me & Whiskey” (featuring Priscilla Block)
Justin Moore’s new single, “You, Me & Whiskey,” featuring Priscilla Block, is a great song about a couple’s need to reconnect and spend some quality time together, and Justin confesses he hated the song and didn’t want to record it before he even listened to the demo,
Justin Moore – hated You, Me, Whiskey didn’t write :49
“When I first heard the title to ‘You, Me & Whiskey,’ I thought, ‘I hate this song, cause I like the title and I didn’t write it. And I’m only puttin’ songs I wrote on this album.’ And then I heard the song and said, ‘Well, crap. I gotta cut that.’ And (laugh) naw, it’s so well written, and a really good song, and it was nothing like anything we had for the album. And we’ve kind of lucked out over the years, where even if we weren’t really looking – you know, we thought, hey, we’re done with the album – these songs just kinda fall in our lap, it seems like. ‘If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,’ that happened, and I could name a handful more. This just kinda felt like another one you go, ‘Oh boy, we’ve gotta record that song. That’s a really good song.’ And again, really different, and kinda added a different dimension to the project. So, I’m glad we got it.”
“You, Me & Whiskey” will be on Justin’s forthcoming album, which he’ll share more details about and release in 2023.
