When it comes to the New Year, Kristian Bush prefers the period of time that he’s able to reflect on what he did in the previous year and take stock of things as the New Year approaches, rather than making resolutions to begin his next year.

“The resolution bit is almost less important to me than the like, four days before it. For me, I like this kind of empty space between Christmas and New Year. It’s a time for me to like, sit down, and kind of look at all the things that I was like, oh yeah, I was gonna do that this year, right. And inevitably, I always write songs during that time that are really special to me. So, I think the resolution piece is a little bit more about the celebrating, and the three or four days ahead of it is kinda my meditation.”
