CURRENT SINGLE: “Longneck Way to Go” w/ Jon Pardi
Incredible harmonies are a signature element of Midland’s sound, and while they make it look easy, bassist Cameron Duddy says it’s definitely a skill that takes work. And there are still times that nailing the harmonies can be challenging, but for Cameron not trying is not an option.

Cameron Duddy – “It’s really difficult, and you know, when it’s bad, it’s bad. We’ve had bad nights, especially on the Let It Roll Tour at the end. You’re four years into a never ending tour and your voice is gone and we’ve got nodules going on, and you can’t sing. I remember at the end of the Australia run that we were on, the very last night in Melbourne, I lost my voice. And this is opening up for Tim (McGraw) in an arena. You know, any normal person would be like, ‘Oh, I’m just not gonna sing. You know, I’ll just play bass. That’ll be fun.’ But so much of our sound evolves, and so much of my pleasure personally comes from the three part harmony, that to not do that would basically be like not playing bass, or having a missing instrument.”
