(AUDIO) BEING A SINGER GREW NATURALLY OUT OF CONNER SMITH’S SONGWRITING

CURRENT SINGLE – “Take It Slow”

When Conner Smith first fell in love with music as a kid, he was still in grade school and was fascinated with writing songs, but he wasn’t really thinking about becoming a country singer and performer. But over time, Conner the singer grew out of Conner the songwriter

Conner Smith – when realized had voice :33

“I think for me, the voice just kind of developed over time because I was singing so much through writing songs. Like, every day I would come home from school, and I would just write songs. So, singing that much kinda developed the muscle of the voice. No one in my family really sings. And so, that kinda happened naturally, and it kinda got to the point where the artistry of it and the performing these songs… we would go play open mic nights at Puckett’s, and all over town. And so performing it became just as much of a love as writing these songs. But the voice really just developed because I was singing so much writing these songs alone in my bedroom.”

Conner is currently on the If I Went to College Tour, his first headlining tour, which has him visiting venues in college towns through the end of April.
