Connor Smith has been writing songs since he was six years old, and he got a publishing deal, which is basically getting a paying job to write songs, when he was a junior in high school. So, once he graduated high school, Conner opted to continue pursuing his music career instead of attending college, which is why naming his first-ever headlining tour the ‘If I Went to College Tour,’ seemed rather appropriate.

“The If I Went to College Tour, we’ve been super fortunate as my career started, to really build really passionate fan bases in a lot of college towns. And a lot of that goes back to the music I’ve put out, and also just the fact that I’m 22 and I’d be a senior in college right now if I had gone, and all my friends are still in school. And so, as this tour really shaped up, it felt like kind of the right tip of the hat to, I would be a senior in college right now, but instead my college experience is traveling around to these shows and hanging with y’all on a Friday/Saturday night.”
Conner recently raised the bar on the energy level of his live shows with the release of his new song, “Creek Will Rise,” which is two minutes and 55 seconds of pure adrenaline-raising fun.
