DEBUT SINGLE: “How It Oughta Be”
When you listen to Shane Profitt’s music, like his debut single, “How It Oughta Be,” you can definitely hear influences from some of country music’s legends, to 90’s country, to some of the more traditional leaning current artists. While Shane grew up listening to all of that music, it’s hard for him to say if any particular artist inspired or shaped his sound in country music.

“Oh man, that’s a tough question because as an artist I’m not trying to be like anybody. I wanna be my own person. But, obviously I am a huge Chris Janson fan. You could look on my Apple Music right now, and it would be Justin Moore, Chris Janson, Hank, Junior, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, All of the legends. But I would say as an artist, I’m not tryin’ to be like anybody. I want people to feel something whenever they listen to my music, whether it be gettin’ drunk or goin’ fishin’, you know, or callin’ up an ex, or anything really. All I’m trying to do is make people feel somethin’ through my music.”
