Justin Moore – date nights are hard :43

“The older the kids are getting and the more kids we’ve had and the more involved they are in so many different things, it’s just really hard, you know, there’s just literally no time. So, kind of our time, and I wouldn’t really, I guess, consider it a date night, unfortunately, but our kinda time together is when we get the kids fed and bathed and to bed, and all that good stuff. That’s when we sit down and watch, you know, our shows or whatever. and when the kids were younger and not as involved in sports and school things, we did used to go, at least once or twice a month we would go to dinner or something like that, just the two of us. But it gets tricky the older the kids get and the more involved they get in things.”

Despite not really having time for proper date nights, where they get out of the house alone together, Justin says he and his wife Kate have found one creative way to enjoy dinner alone together every once in a while.

“We’ve actually started sittin’ with them when they eat, and they go take their showers, and they pack their lunches for school in the mornin’ and that kind of stuff.  And I don’t know, they go to bed between 8:30, 9, 9:30, something like that.  We tey to get ‘em to bed earlier but by the time they really get there it’s nine, probably,  And then we stay up a couple hours, and we started eating then by ourselves, just so that we can have like, adult conversations. And you know, for me, my schedule’s so outta whack being on the road for so long, I’m accustomed to eating late. It’s something she had to kinda get used to.  But that’s kinda what we do.”
